Got a $50 bonus and not sure where to use it? Most bonuses come with rules about which games you can play and which ones count toward the wagering. Picking the wrong game can waste your bonus fast. This guide explains which games you can usually play with a $50 pokies bonus, and what SpeedAU offers new players right now.
One thing to know first: SpeedAU does not offer a $50 no deposit bonus right now. New members get a $28 New Member Bonus and an extra 30% on their deposit. You can see every current offer on our promotion page.
Which Games Usually Count?
Most no deposit and sign up bonuses are made for pokies. Other games are often limited or do not count at all. Here is a general guide:
| Game Type | Can You Usually Play It? | Counts Toward Wagering? |
| Classic pokies | Yes | Usually 100% |
| Video pokies | Yes | Usually 100% |
| Megaways pokies | Usually yes | Usually 100% |
| Progressive jackpots | Sometimes | Often excluded |
| Table games | Sometimes | Low or none |
| Live casino | Rarely | Usually none |
Every casino sets its own rules, so always check the bonus terms first.
Classic Pokies
Classic pokies have three reels, simple symbols like fruits and sevens, and few features. They are easy to understand and often have lower volatility, which helps a bonus last longer. A good choice if you are new.
Video Pokies
Video pokies have five reels, more paylines and bonus rounds like free spins and multipliers. They are the most common type and usually count fully toward wagering. Pick ones with an RTP of 96% or higher.
Megaways Pokies
Megaways games change the number of symbols on each reel every spin, which can give you thousands of ways to win. They are fun but often high volatility, so use small bets with a bonus.
Jackpot Pokies
Jackpot pokies can pay huge prizes, but many bonuses do not allow them, or they do not count toward wagering. Check the terms before you spin. Our jackpot article explains what is realistic with a small bonus.
Games to Avoid With a Bonus
- Live casino and table games, unless the terms say they count.
- Games that let you buy the bonus feature. Many bonuses do not allow this.
- Very high volatility pokies if your balance is small.
